164 Cats Sterilized

Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept is back to sterilize cats. It is aimed to suppress the population and maintain a rabies-free Jakarta.

Head of Animal Health Service, Agriculture Technology and Livestock Quality Testing, Renova Ida Siahaan disclosed, at this time, cat sterilization is conducted toward local cats.

"Cat sterilization is done through Ovariohisterektomi way on female cats and castration in male cats," she disclosed, Tuesday (4/13).

Vaccine Given to 1,349 Animals During January-March

Since January until today, her side has sterilized 164 cats. It is targeted 600 cats could be sterilized at the end of this year.

"Hence, those who have cat or cat lover can register due to free service," she told.
